May 2026
We did it again - another incredible
Beer Festival weekend!

Our 2026 Beer Festival was brilliant. OK, the weather was not as ordered, but even so with great beer, cider and gins, delicious food, top-class live entertainment and loads and loads of happy, smiling people we reckon we SMASHED it again!

We have so many people to thank:

  • Paul Mellor from Wharf Brewery for once again supplying our beers and ciders
  • Andy Frost from Cydefx for supplying our special Ipswich Cyder
  • Adnams of Southwold for supplying our lager and low-alcohol Ghost Ship
  • Suffolk Distillery for supplying our festival gins
  • Glassware Branding of Brandon for printing our commemorative festival glasses
  • Joy Day for the original artwork on our festival glasses and for all her hard work designing our advertising flyers and banners
  • Prestige Bars and Catering for keeping our festival goers well fed
  • Our performers: Back Porch Blues Band, Ronnie Thurlow, Helen and the Neighbourhood Dogs and Pop Club Choir
  • Thank you again to David Wood for another great fun quiz on Sunday evening
  • Our principal printers, Gipping Press of Needham Market
  • Ralph Earey for loaning the Sum Up card machines
  • Our main sponsors, the KBB Centre of Dales Road, Ipswich
  • Brooks and Wood for sponsoring our volunteers' polo shirts
  • Our army of happy, smiling volunteers who served your drinks, washed the glasses, sold your beer vouchers, cleaned the toilets and did loads of other jobs, mostly unseen and unsung, but essential to the success of the Festival
  • And last, but by no means least, all you fantastic festival goers who came along over the weekend to enjoy the festival. Thank you for your continuing support for our village Beer Festival which raises significant sums of money for charities and social groups in Sproughton. You are magnificent, and you are why we can't wait until May 2027 to do it all again.
