Good to know...

-
Entry to the Festival is free.
-
The Festival venue is the Tithe Barn, Lower Street Sproughton (map at foot of page).
-
Think carefully about driving to the Festival. Do not drink and drive. Have a designated driver in your party. There is no parking on-site, and only limited on-street parking nearby. Please leave residents' driveways clear at all times, and leave quietly if after dark. There is a limited Ipswich Buses service (service 8b) on Friday and Saturday only between Ipswich central and Sproughton Tithe Barn. Search for route 8b by clicking here.
-
To buy beer or other alcohol at our festival you'll first need to buy a £10 festival beer voucher with cash or card from our friendly voucher sellers. Full details below.
-
Hot food is available every day during the festival.
-
We use outside caterers for our hot food. You'll need to pay separately at the outdoor servery for your hot food by bank card or cash - your beer voucher will NOT be accepted for payment for hot food.
-
We'll have seating and tables in the barn itself and outside in the rear courtyard.
-
Our Festival is a family event. Children under 18 years of age are welcome to accompany you but they must not buy or consume alcohol, or approach the bars. There are soft drinks and snacks for children to buy at the Festival.
-
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but please come prepared to clean up after your dog. Please also bear in mind that some people are uncomfortable around dogs, however well-behaved, so have a lead with you at all times.
-
Limited edition commemorative festival glasses featuring original artwork by Sproughton artist Joy Day will be available to purchase at £3 each. All proceeds from the sale of these glasses will be donated to the Festival charity.
-
All our festival staff are volunteers. They will do their best to provide a friendly, professional service. Please be patient, especially at peak times, and treat them with the respect they deserve for giving up their time for free to serve you. Abusive or threatening behaviour towards any of our volunteers or other patrons will not be tolerated and offenders will be refused any further service.
-
Please respect our neighbours and refrain from overflowing onto their gardens or driveways. Please don't remove or ignore barriers put in place to respect our neighbours' privacy.
-
Any queries? We'd love to hear from you - call, text or Whatsapp us on 07578552324.
All you need to know about beer vouchers...
For your safety & security and to speed up service at the bars, no cash or card payments can be taken over the bars themselves. Patrons must first buy a £10 beer voucher to use for payment at the bar for beer and other alcohol. Our voucher sellers will be easy to find as you enter the Tithe Barn. Vouchers can be bought by cash or card - however, we much prefer payment by card. Part-used vouchers can be refunded at the point of sale, or you can choose to donate your "change" to our festival charities.
YOUR BEER VOUCHERS CAN ONLY BE USED AT THE BARS TO PURCHASE BEER, CIDER, GIN, OTHER ALCOHOL AND BAR SNACKS.
TO PURCHASE HOT FOOD, YOU MUST PAY SEPARATELY BY BANK CARD OR CASH AT THE OUTDOOR SERVERY - YOUR BEER VOUCHER WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Our Festival charity for 2026:
Our hot food at the Festival will be provided by Ipswich-based Prestige Bars & Catering.
Proudly proclaiming "We LOVE doing Festivals!", Prestige hot food is prepared using fresh, not frozen, meat sourced from Suffolk farms and prepared by local butchers. Experienced in providing catering services at weddings, corporate events and private parties, we look forward to working with Prestige once again to make your Sproughton Beer Festival experience special.
Click their logo above to find out more about Prestige Bars & Catering.
Sproughton Beer Festival is a not-for-profit community enterprise organised on behalf of, and supported by, Sproughton Parish Council. All proceeds after expenses are used to secure next year's festival and thereafter distributed as grants to enhance and enrich our community.

A huge thank you to our good friend Joy Day from Creative Joy
for her work this year on our branding, logo, festival glasses and advertising materials.

Thank you to our partners Glassware Branding of Brandon, Suffolk, for their professional service and friendly help and advice producing our commemorative festival glasses.
Same again? Don't mind if I do...
Thanks for supporting us!
See you again on 7th, 8th and 9th May 2027

Challenge 25
We will be operating a strict "Challenge 25" policy at our Festival. This means that if you are lucky enough to look under 25, you will be asked for proof of your age when buying or consuming alcohol. To find out more about how this may affect you, click here.
